Yellow River Xiaolangdi Waterfall-Watching Festival
The Yellow River Xiaolangdi Waterfall-Watching Festival has been held annually since 2006 in Jiyuan, Henan province. The festival usually takes place between June and July, the period when water discharged from Xiaolangdi Reservoir Dam creates spectacular scenes.
Xiaolangdi Reservoir Dam is the largest hydraulic engineering project on the Yellow River. It has now been developed into a scenic spot featuring a lake, wetlands and island landscapes.
