The Xi'an Training Center of the Chinese Museums Association held a plaque unveiling ceremony at the Hanyangling Museum in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on May 15.

Liu Shuguang, chairman of the Chinese Museums Association, and Sun Zhouyong, member of the leading Party members group and deputy director of the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, jointly unveiled the training center's plaque.

The Xi'an Training Center of the Chinese Museums Association is the only professional museum training institution of its kind under the Chinese Museums Association. Its predecessor, the Chinese Museum Association Interpreter Training Base, was established in 2006 and then later expanded and upgraded in 2009 to become the Xi'an Training Center of Chinese Museums Association, with the unveiling ceremony held at the Xi'an Banpo Museum that same year.

To better serve the accelerated high-quality development of museums and further enhance the role of the training center, the 7th council of the Chinese Museums Association decided to change the training center's supporting unit from the Xi'an Banpo Museum to the Hanyangling Museum. This move was done with the approval of the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau.

The official plaque unveiling of the Xi'an training center will not only provide a broader teaching and practical platform for the training center, but also contribute greater strength to the development of China's museums.

Moving forward, the Xi'an training center will provide professional and standardized training services to support the prosperous development of the museum industry and contribute to the inheritance and promotion of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
