First intellectual property building opens in Anhui province

The Hefei Intellectual Property Building, the first of its kind in East China's Anhui province, opened its doors for business on April 24, local media reported.

The launch ceremony was held in the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone in Hefei city, the provincial capital.

During the event, the first group of companies and organizations that are set to develop their business in the facility signed contracts with the building's operator.

The Hefei Intellectual Property Building is located in Building B8, Phase III of the Innovation Industrial Park in the Hefei High-Tech Industry Development Zone, with a total floor space of about 10,000 square meters. It is seen as being an important physical carrier for the national intellectual property services industry cluster.

In the building, a service window will be set up integrating trademark applications, patent agencies, business consultations and the judicial, administrative, mediation and arbitration functions of intellectual property rights protection.

Moving forwards, more efforts will be made to boost support for the regional intellectual property work, officials said.
