China International Electronic Commerce Expo

The China International Electronic Commerce Expo and Digital Trade Expo, the biggest annual expo of its kind in China, is held in Yiwu, the world's largest wholesale market of consumer goods, in East China's Zhejiang province.

Under the guidance of the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the expo is jointly hosted by the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, the China International Electronic Commerce Center, the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, and the Yiwu municipal people’s government.

The expo showcases the latest technologies and products in the whole e-commerce industry chain, spanning e-commerce platforms, financial payments, express logistics, technical support, data services and high-quality online goods.

The 2019 event attracted 159,505 visitors from 35 countries and regions, up 5 percent year-on-year. A total of 60,136 ‘intentions of cooperation’ were reached during the event, a year-on-year growth of 8.5 percent.

A total of 2,232 international standard exhibition booths were set up, gathering 1,135 companies from 24 municipalities and cities in China, as well as from 10 foreign countries including the United States, Germany, and Canada. Companies from outside Zhejiang province accounted for 72 percent of the total number.

In addition, 136 cross-border e-commerce companies like Alibaba, JD, Google, Amazon, Lazada, Shopee, and Wish participated in the 2019 event.

The 2020 expo will have an exhibition area of 50,000 square meters. The number of professional visitors is expected to exceed over 150,000.
