The China-Northeast Asia Expo is a national-level exhibition that was approved by the State Council in 2005. From 2005 to 2013, it was held annually in Changchun, Jilin province. Since 2014, the expo has become biennial.

The expo is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the People’s Government of Jilin Province, and co-organized by nine business associations in Northeast Asia.

Since 2005, the expo has been successfully held 12 times, with the 12th session held from Aug 23 to 27, 2019. It has become an important platform for countries in Northeast Asia to build consensus and enhance cooperation.

Investment deals worth 55.58 billion yuan ($7.85 billion) were reached during the 12th China-Northeast Asia Expo, with a total of 93 projects signed, including two projects worth more than 5 billion yuan.

More than 30,000 merchants from 109 countries and regions attended this year’s expo to explore cooperation opportunities in Northeast Asia.
