China-ASEAN Expo

Since 2004, sixteen sessions of the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) have been held - concurrently with the China-ASEAN Business & Investment Summit (CABIS) - in Nanning, capital city of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

CAEXPO is an international economic and trade event co-sponsored by the ministries and departments of commerce or industry and trade of China and the ten ASEAN member states, as well as the ASEAN Secretariat. It is organized by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

CAEXPO highlights China’s imports and focuses on opening up the market to ASEAN members. It provides an effective bridge for ASEAN products to enter the Chinese market, and aims to build a platform for Chinese enterprises to make overseas investments in ASEAN.

It accelerates the upgrading of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) and the building of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, promoting policy coordination, road connections, unimpeded trade, monetary circulation, and people-to-people exchanges.

The 16th CAEXPO was held from Sept 21 to 24, with an exhibition area of 134,000 square meters. A total of 2,848 enterprises and over 86,000 traders from home and abroad attended the expo. Among them, 131 enterprises were from 20 countries along the Belt and Road.
