China Beijing International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo

The China Beijing International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE), is an international gala of the cultural and creative industry organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-Council (CCPIT Beijing). It was launched with the approval of the Ministry of Culture, the State General Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and benefits from the efforts of 28 Beijing municipal government commissions, offices, and bureaus, including the Publicity Department of the Beijing CPC municipal committee.

As a regular event in Beijing, the ICCIE is committed to presenting a quality market-based and standard-based expo that meets the highest international and professional standards. The 14th China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE) was held from May 29 to Jun 1, 2019 in Beijing.

The ICCIE is committed to the implementation of the guiding philosophy and the overall plan of the CPC Central Committee regarding cultural reform and development, as well as the requirement of pursuing scientific development and accelerating the transformation of its development model. Its aim is to present a comprehensive picture of China's achievements in deepening reform of its cultural sector, putting in place a modern cultural market system, and promoting the development of emerging cultural industries.

It will facilitate the in-depth exchange of leading theories and thoughts on the development of the cultural and creative industries, as well as build a platform for the marketization of cultural products and creativity, promoting the growth of the cultural trade and the successful implementation of major projects in China. It thus plays an important role in the adjustment and upgrading of the economic structure and accelerating the formation of an innovation-driven development model in China.

ICCIE 2019’s international participants included two international organizations and 86 foreign delegations from 68 countries and regions. Domestic delegations from 12 provinces, regions, and municipalities were also present at the expo. More than 60,000 people visited the main venue. Five forums were held, where 101 speakers and 1,800 professionals were present. The speakers included high-level officials from international organizations, authorities from leading national industry agencies, as well as renowned experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs from home and aboard. Eight project promotion events took place, attracting 22,000 Chinese and foreign business representatives for on-site negotiations.
