China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair

Approved by the State Council, the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF) was launched in 2004. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, CISMEF is held every autumn in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, and has been held for 16 sessions. It is a UFI-approved event.

CISMEF is a non-profit exhibition that aims to build a platform for SMEs from home and abroad to increase understanding, strengthen cooperation, expand exchanges, and find common development. It is now a fair with the highest level, largest scale, and most wide-ranging influence in the Asia-Pacific region.

Since 2005, the fair has been co-hosted with several countries and international organizations, including France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Spain, Australia, Thailand, Ecuador, Vietnam, Indonesia, the UN Office for South-South Cooperation, Mexico, Malaysia, Cote d’Ivoire, India, South Africa, the UAE, and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

Since CISMEF was first held, each session has included an exhibition area of more than 100,000 square meters, on which no fewer than 1,000 booths with an area of more than 20,000 sq m have been reserved for overseas enterprises. Every year, there have been about 200,000 people visiting the fair.
