Luoyang Museum
Founded in 1958, Luoyang Museum is a national first-class museum involved in collecting cultural relics, scientific research, displays and exhibitions, social education and cultural exchanges. Covering 20 hectares, the museum has a building area of 62,000 square meters with an investment of 350 million yuan ($48.94 million).
With a collection of more than 400,000 cultural relics, and 11,000 on display, the museum has six basic exhibition halls including pottery figurines from the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 24), and the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Tang tri-colored glazed pottery, royal cultural relics, stone carvings, calligraphy and paintings.
