The Memorial Hall of the Zhaojin Shan-Gan-Bian Revolutionary Base Area, a national first-class museum, is located in Zhaojin town, Yaozhou district, Tongchuan, Shaanxi province. Covering a total area of 6,500 square meters, the museum is dedicated to the history of the revolutionary base in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia region. It is a specialized memorial hall for social science historical sites.
The museum has been open to the public since April 2004. Its collection includes documents, everyday items, revolutionary relics, weapons, and more, which have been sourced through acquisition and donations. As of the end of 2019, the collection numbered 571 pieces/sets.
The museum is recognized as a national patriotism education base and a provincial anti-corruption education base in Shaanxi.
The museum's architecture and layout exude a sense of solemnity and grandeur. It is divided into two main exhibition halls. The first floor uses historical materials, images, artifacts, and modern exhibition technologies to present eight units that highlight the arduous process of establishing the revolutionary base. The second floor features an exhibition dedicated to revolutionary heroes from the region, with over 100 thematic displays of veteran proletarian revolutionaries. Additionally, 15 oil paintings vividly depict major revolutionary events and historical scenes.
