This Neighborhood Life Festival, guided by the needs of residents, collaborates with businesses to organize activities such as brand discounts, convenience markets, promotions, trade-in services, and other services for the community, further promoting community commerce.

Ma Xiaoqin, deputy director of the Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce, said at the opening ceremony, “We hope this event helps citizens enjoy convenient and comfortable services right at their doorstep, creating a true 15-minute living circle. This means residents can reach any store within 15 minutes on foot, significantly enhancing their sense of satisfaction and quality of life.”

The event, in collaboration with supermarkets and specialty stores, adopts various models such as flash sales, community group purchases, and discounts to enable citizens to buy vegetables, fruits, grains and oils at their doorstep. Top brands will also provide exclusive deals and special offers, ensuring high-quality products are easily accessible within the community.

This event partners with home appliances, furnishings and electronic retailers through the "selling new and recycling" model, to provide a full chain of valuation, trading, recycling and replacement services for waste home appliances and electronics, as well as integrated services of delivery, assembly and collection. Consumers can enjoy upgraded products at lower costs, while businesses provide trade-in discounts to drive economic growth.

The festival will take place across 10 districts, including Xincheng, Yanta, Beilin, Weiyang, Chang'an, Lianhu, and the High-tech Zone, covering 20 selected convenient living circles. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

The event features a range of convenient service markets tailored to residents’ needs, offering services like anti-fraud information and health checks. A platform will be set up for residents to discuss home service projects directly.

On-site, there will be displays of various household services, including elderly care, maternal and child care, cleaning and organization, providing residents with warm, efficient services right on their doorstep.

In addition, the event will collaborate with telecommunications operators to enhance community networks, providing services such as community network detection, troubleshooting and maintenance to address residents' connectivity issues.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Huang Yuhui, secretary of the Party group and director of Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce; Nie Hong, head of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision stationed at Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce; Xue Fan, deputy district chief of Xincheng District People's Government; and officials from various districts, counties and development zones, as well as community representatives.
