Shanghai's Changning district recently launched a significant campaign to attract global talents and helped connect Chinese students studying abroad with key resident enterprises via a matchmaking meeting.

This initiative provided a platform for direct interaction between overseas universities and Changning-based enterprises, fostering mutual understanding and precise connections.

The launch event held on July 26 was organized by Changning district's talent work bureau and the AUCA (American Universities in China Association), a non-profit organization comprising professionals who represent international higher education institutions in China.

The event attracted the participation of representatives from 20 Chinese offices of overseas universities, overseas student delegates, and key enterprise representatives.

Companies like Bosch, Unilever, and China Eastern Airlines unveiled their 2024 talent demand lists. AUCA Chairperson Wu Wenting highlighted Changning as a prime destination for talents.

Participants also visited the Shanghai Hongqiao One-Stop Service Center for Overseas Talents, experiencing its efficient, streamlined services. Further exchanges were facilitated between university and enterprise representatives.

On July 27, the district hosted the 2024 AUCA Summer Recruitment Fair. Over 500 students and representatives from 42 enterprises participated. The event featured presentations on local talent policies and personalized resume reviews, offering 2,315 full-time and internship positions.
