The Qin-Han Civilization Museum, a new branch of the Shaanxi History Museum, located in Northwest China's Shaanxi province, will officially open on May 18, International Museum Day, along with the launch of the Qin and Han civilization exhibition series.

This series of exhibitions includes its core exhibition "Great Unity Under Heaven: Civilization during the Qin (221-206 BC) and Han (206 BC-AD 220) Dynasties," as well as two thematic exhibitions titled "City and Mausoleum" and "Technology and Aesthetics".

These exhibitions systematically narrate the historical process of the political unification during the Qin and Han periods. During these periods, China gradually solidified its national identity, ideologies, and culture. Additionally, social customs, life philosophies, and spiritual pursuits within the context of a unified empire were also created.

The "Great Unity Under Heaven: Civilization during Qin and Han Dynasties" is a major exhibition at the museum. The Qin and Han periods were times of significant change and development in ancient Chinese society, marking the establishment of ancient Chinese political systems and the foundation of academic and philosophical thoughts in China.

The exhibition also incorporates the use of low-reflective museum display cabinet glass, providing visitors with an enhanced viewing experience.

Starting from May 18, visits to the museum will require people to make reservations in advance.

The public can make these reservations through the official WeChat account of the Shaanxi History Museum.
