The city of Hohhot – capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – recently revealed a great lineup of over 100 cultural and tourism activities and premium travel routes for the upcoming May Day holiday.

These focused on interactive experiences, cultural enrichment, immersive performances, exhibitions and leisure plans.

The activities cater to all ages, including events such as nature festivals for children, music parties for youth and art markets for seniors.

The city's initiative integrates culture and tourism with various industries, offering a diverse range of experiences. Events like street performances and new energy vehicle exhibitions aim to enhance shopping experiences. Online promotions and themed activities, too, aim to encourage holiday spending.

In public transportation, free transits with flower themes and themed high-speed train trips to Hohhot will promote travel convenience. Urban development aspects include themed events at cultural venues and parks.

This year's holiday tourism theme showcases Hohhot's cultural richness across six categories – its glorious cityscape, scenery, cultural heritage, culinary delights, leisure and harvests. The goal is to create a memorable holiday for visitors from across the nation.

Additionally, day trips and two-day tours will be available, along with a raft of routes tailored to each district's cultural and tourism resources – enriching holiday experiences and fostering a festive vibe.

The initiative is said to underscore Hohhot's commitment to cultural tourism development, offering a comprehensive and engaging holiday experience for travelers of all interests and ages.
