In 2023, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, implemented 1125 key projects, with a total investment of 135.5 billion yuan ($18.83 billion), marking a 17-percent year-on-year increase in investment scale.

This surge in investment drove a 25.5-percent year-on-year growth in the city's fixed asset investment, positioning Hohhot at the forefront of provincial capital cities and earning it the title of "China's Investment Hotspot City".

The city remained dedicated to industrial projects, accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system.

In 2023, Hohhot implemented 588 key industrial projects, with a total investment of 90.7 billion yuan. Notably, 328 key projects within the "six major industrial clusters" received investments totaling 68.8 billion yuan, constituting 76-percent of the industrial investment. Other industrial projects, such as Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group's cheese production, Mengniu Dairy's high-end dairy products factory, and the Northern Production Base for Super Fusion Servers, were successfully completed and put into operation.

The year also saw the signing and construction commencement of major projects, including Huawei Cloud's Horinger Data Center.

Hohhot's industrial investment maintained rapid growth throughout the year, expanding by 84-percent in scale. This propelled the output value of the city's "six major industrial clusters" to exceed 243 billion yuan, constituting over 90-percent of the Hohhot's total industrial output value.

Looking ahead, Hohhot aims to prioritize a batch of major projects, including those exceeding 10 billion yuan each. It also plans to implement over 1100 key projects and achieve an investment of over 150 billion yuan throughout the year.
