Jilin teenager smashes Guinness World Record with 86 consecutive quadruple unders

On Feb 4, 18-year-old Ma Jiajun from Jilin province received official recognition from the Guinness World Records for breaking the previous record of 82 consecutive quadruple unders with a skipping rope, achieving an incredible 86 jumps.

This marks yet another triumph for Ma, who had previously shattered the 35-year-old Guinness World Record for triple unders in 2021.

Between 2016 and 2023, Ma Jiajun has accumulated an impressive total of 56 world, Asian, and national championship titles, solidifying his reputation as a "professional champion". Since 2021, he has been a consistent member of the Chinese national jump rope team.

"I hope more people can understand and enjoy this sport," Ma expressed in an interview. "In the future, I aim to give my all to achieve better results and win more championships. Of course, I will spare no effort in promoting and popularizing jump rope as a sport."
