Shandong seeks to attract young talent

The first Shandong Provincial Youth Scientists Innovation and Development Conference will be held from Nov 21 to 23 in Jinan, Shandong province, to foster an innovative ecosystem for young talent.

Based on the theme of "Talent Gathering in Shandong, Mutual Creation for the Future", it brings together about 1,000 participants, including academicians, overseas scholars, scientists, and top young talents in various disciplines.

They will engage in cross-disciplinary discussions through thematic reports and high-end dialogues, covering such topics as talent cultivation, academic exchange, achievement sharing, and resource collaboration.

Focusing on leading industries like intelligent manufacturing, high-end equipment, biomedicine, and healthcare, the event aims to gather a group of future talents to pursue areas like artificial intelligence and advanced materials.

Additionally, participants including young scientists will visit national industrial parks, high-tech enterprises, key universities and institutes in Jinan to gain deeper insights into Jinan's industrial layout, as well as the opportunities and environment it provides for talent development.

The three-day conference will feature a main venue, parallel forums, a Young Scientists Salon, and specialized tours for young scientists and overseas experts in Jinan.
