Jinan mayor meets with Ambassador of Spain to China

Yu Haitian, mayor of Jinan, met with the Ambassador of Spain to China Rafael Dezcallar and his delegation in Jinan on Oct 19.

Yu briefly introduced the economic and social development of Jinan and said that the cooperation and exchanges between Jinan and Spain in fields like economy, trade, education, and sister cities have become increasingly frequent.

Jinan has created a favorable business and living environment in recent years, Yu added.

Yu also expressed hope that both sides will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in multiple areas, promote practical cooperation at a deeper level and create a new chapter of mutual benefits and win-win cooperation.

Dezcallar said that the relationship between Spain and Shandong province as well as Jinan reflects the good relations between Spain and China. Spain and Jinan currently have broad cooperation prospects in industries, economic and trade, agriculture, education, and tourism.

He also hopes that both sides will continue to achieve new results in cooperation and achieve better win-win outcomes.

Yang Li, vice-mayor of Jinan and Han Zhenguo, secretary-general of the Jinan municipal people's government, attended the meeting.
