Jinan Vocational College Wins Gold in Intl Aircraft Maintenance Competition

Participants from the Jinan Vocational College in Jinan won the gold medal in the aircraft maintenance competition of the 2023 BRICS Vocational Skills Challenge, which was held from Sept 12 to 15 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Sixteen teams representing BRICS countries - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - competed in the final of the competition, which is also known as the BRICS Future Skills Challenge.

The competition covered various aspects such as English technical literature retrieval, aircraft component assembly and disassembly, troubleshooting and handling of landing gear system faults, and helicopter ground operation checks.

Zhang Shuo, a student majoring in aircraft maintenance, represented Jinan Vocational College in this competition category.

The competition focuses on key sectors such as smart manufacturing and digital economy, and aims to strengthen practical cooperation in vocational skills education among BRICS nations and other developing countries.
