Academician forum opens in Hohhot, aiming for tech innovation

The third Academicians Qingcheng Trip and the Hohhot Science and Technology Innovation Talent Conference opened in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Aug 28, aiming to accelerate the construction of the capital city as a regional center for scientific and technological innovation and talent development.

Since the "Academicians Qingcheng Trip" in 2021, 18 academicians, more than 800 high-level experts, and renowned entrepreneurs have come to Hohhot for exchanges. In relevant fields, 14 academician workstations have been established, and more than 60 high-level talent teams have been introduced, contributing to the training of over 500 high-level talents for industries.

Hohhot's impressive increase in its science and technology index, moving from 49th to 30th place, has undoubtedly contributed to the city's economic and social growth.

Currently, the city is speeding up the cultivation of green agricultural and animal product processing, clean energy, new materials and equipment manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, modern chemical industries, and electronic information technology clusters. The National Dairy Technology Innovation Center, the only one in the country, has been officially established, and efforts are underway to create national-level technology innovation centers for grass seed production and animal vaccines.
