With the continuous improvement of Hohhot's ecological environment, the number of wild animals and plants has increased yearly. Currently, there are 753 species of wild plants belonging to 342 genera and 96 families, as well as 35 species from 15 families of wild mammals and 218 species from 49 families of birds.

These achievements in Hohhot result from an unwavering commitment to green development. The city has been actively restoring and preserving natural habitats, promoting sustainable forestry practices, and implementing effective ecological protection measures. The thriving ecosystem not only enhances the quality of life for residents but also attracts tourists who come to appreciate the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.

Hohhot is working hard to create a better environment for the future and encouraging other areas to do the same. They are taking care of the plants and animals in the city to leave a greener legacy for the next generations.
