Baotou residents celebrate upcoming Dragon Boat Festival

The Dragon Boat Festival falls on June 22 this year, and various districts in Baotou held a series of folk activities to welcome this traditional Chinese festival.

From June 19 to 20, Qingshan District organized holiday-themed activities. Some residents were invited to make zongzi (rice dumplings) together and take part in a quiz. They also sent some of the zongzi to the district fire brigade, poor residents, and older adults living alone, sending them holiday wishes.

On June 19, the women's federation of the Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Industrial Development Zone carried out training activities on the production of sachets, which could be sold as decorations. This event promoted women's employment to increase income and guided everyone to preserve traditional Chinese culture further.

In addition, on June 20, Hondlon district celebrated the arrival of the festival with activities such as zongzi making contest and egg painting.
