The 2023 Euro-Asia Economic Forum is scheduled to be held in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, in September, according to the meeting for the preparatory work of the forum on June 7.

Approved by the State Council, the Euro-Asia Economic Forum is a large-scale institutional foreign-related forum at the national level, with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries as the main body facing the vast Eurasian region.

Since its inception in 2005, the forum has been a biennial event, and this year marks its remarkable 10th session. Over the years, this influential platform has played a pivotal role in fostering exchanges and cooperation between China and Eurasian countries. By facilitating dialogues and collaborations, the forum has successfully strengthened regional ties and opened up new channels for Xi'an's transformation into a national central city.

This year's forum will focus on "creating cooperation opportunities, seeking future development."

By fostering extensive dialogues among a diverse array of participants, including governments, businesses, enterprises, academia, and research institutions, the forum serves as a platform for strengthening policy communication and advancing regional cooperation.

Through these collaborative discussions, the forum aims to unlock the full potential of regional cooperation, expand the development space for participating regions, and create new opportunities for collaborations. With a shared vision, the forum endeavors to shape a promising future for Europe and Asia, driving forward their development and prosperity.
