Intl diplomats experience Xi'an's development achievements

More than 20 international diplomats from 15 countries on June 6 gathered in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, to experience the city's achievements in integrating culture and tourism, scientific and technological innovation, and ecological improvement.

They are from Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Albania, Morocco, Ethiopia, Peru, Sri Lanka, Iran, Lesotho, Namibia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kenya, and the Bahamas.

At Yanta district's government service center, the diplomats experienced convenient government services.

The center offers a range of services, such as free engraving of seals, mailing, photocopying, and provision of tax equipment. Additionally, it has established a dedicated team to provide assistance in business agencies and policy explanations. This initiative has resulted in annual cost savings of over 10 million yuan ($1.4 million) for companies utilizing these services.

From time to time, diplomats took out their mobile phones to take pictures and record.

Yannan Park in Xi'an combines the three-dimensional landscape tower with the air corridor bridge to build a multi-level view and attractive sightseeing space. The diplomats walked along the promenade, saying it was like a secret garden.

The diplomats also jointly planted a redbud tree at the park, symbolizing happiness.

In addition, a performance of intangible cultural heritage, such as cloth painting, tablet rubbing, and paper cutting, was staged in the park, presenting a feast of intangible cultural heritage for diplomats.

"It can be seen that Xi'an is constantly creating a better urban environment, making the city more livable and full of charm," said Robinson Jean Louis, Madagascar's ambassador to China.

On the day, the diplomats also visited the Xi'an Beilin Uni-clustered Key & Core Technology Innovation District and the old vegetable market cultural creative block.
