NETDA offers information consulting services to enterprises

Guo Yufan, an intellectual property engineer of Zhongtian Technology Fiber Optics Co Ltd, came to the library of Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area in East China's Jiangsu province to conduct patent searches on March 14. 

She said that she can conduct patent searches in the library largely due to it signing an agreement with the National Library of China to share bibliographic resources. 

She added that her company's exports to more than 30 countries, including India, Morocco, and Brazil, totaled 1.35 billion yuan ($197.2 million) over the past three years, which she attributed to the library's information consulting services. 

Tang Jinhua, deputy director of NETDA's social affairs bureau, said that information consulting services will play a significant role in optimizing the area's business environment and advancing high-quality development. 

He added that the library is planning to establish a platform that provides services in terms of patent information, intellectual property information, and public opinion monitoring.
