Hongqiao trade center an extension of intl import expo

Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trade Center, located in the Minhang Area of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (Hongqiao CBD), has been a year-round display and trading platform integrating bonded product exhibitions, commodity trading, logistics warehousing, and customs clearance services.

The trade center has played an increasingly important role for promoting the China International Import Expo (CIIE).

The first phase of the trade center covers an area of 400,000 square meters and is selling more than 70,000 imported goods from more than 90 countries and regions, 70 percent of which entered the Chinese market through the CIIE.

The second phase consists of the Hongqiao International CBD Bonded Logistics Center and Hongqiao Pinhui Building A and B, which cover a construction area of 260,000 square meters. Now, the logistics center and Hongqiao Pinhui Building A have been put into use, and Building B is under construction.

The trade center has also set up the import commodity exhibition and sales center, the Yangtze River Delta e-commerce center, and a bonded logistics center.

Through year-round bonded product exhibitions and trade, it aims to achieve the integration of buying and selling global products, which can help imported commodities enter the market fast and reduce operating costs for enterprises. In addition, consumers can get high-quality and affordable imported goods.

By relying on the bonded logistics center, the trade center actively explores innovative policies for customs facilitation and the normalization of measures, and provides one-stop facilitation services that include international and domestic logistics, bonded warehousing, and cross-border e-commerce.
