The Second Conference of the New Asia-Europe Land-Sea Trade Corridor Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Alliance and Innovation and Development Summit Forum was held in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on March 30.

The New Asia-Europe Land-Sea Trade Corridor connects Japan, South Korea and ASEAN to the east and Central Asia and Europe to the west. It is one of the six major economic corridors for the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Established in October, 2021, the corridor pilot FTZ alliance was initiated by the Lianyungang area of the Jiangsu FTZ, Zhengzhou, Kaifeng and the Luoyang areas of the Henan FTZ, the central and Xi'an International Trade and Logistic Park areas in the Shaanxi FTZ and others.

More than 160 people attended the conference, including representatives of the alliance, customs leaders from Xi'an, foreign friends, experts from relevant think tanks and business representatives.

At the event, the China-Europe Chang'an freight train comprehensive service platform and the Shaanxi RCEP comprehensive service platform were promoted, while partner companies of the Xi'an area of the Shaanxi FTZ were released.

In addition, the Xi'an Declaration on Innovation of the New Asia-Europe Land-Sea Trade Corridor Pilot FTZ was announced. It's expected to write a new chapter of high-quality development.
