Yiwu's market vitality has been boosted after its market reopened on Aug 21, 10 days after COVID-19 restrictions went into effect.

Numbers from the Yiwu Bureau of Statistics showed Yiwu's express delivery volume reached 39.74 million pieces on Aug 22, an increase of 32.5 percent compared with the average daily volume before the epidemic.

As the world's largest distribution center for Christmas products such as tree decorations, Yuletide clothing, greeting cards, festive lights and packaging, its markets reopened to high sales due to chartered flights and new logistics channels.
