COVID-19 vaccine commercial production plant put into use in Yantai

A commercial production plant for COVID-19 vaccines was put into use in Yantai, a coastal city of Shandong province on Dec 1.
Operated by the Luye Life Sciences Group, the plant has an annual production capacity of 1 billion doses of vaccines. It is also Shandong's first VLP vaccine commercial production facility.
The 21,000-square-meter plant will mainly produce the LYB001 COVID-19 vaccine.
The plant is able to boost its production capacity to 2 billion doses or higher and support overseas clinical research and commercial production.
