The Second China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo is scheduled to be held in Changsha, Hunan province, from Sep 26 to 28, 2021.
The China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) is a biennial event jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Hunan provincial people’s government. This grand event is the only economic and trade cooperation platform under the mechanism of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
It is also a significant platform for China and African countries to conduct economic and trade cooperation and relevant exchanges and dialogues.
The first CAETE was held in Changsha, Hunan province, from June 27 to 29, 2019. With the theme of “Win-Win Cooperation for Closer China-Africa Economic and Trade Partnership,” the expo attracted more than 10,000 exhibitors and visitors from home and abroad. 84 agreements were signed, with a total value of $20.8 billion.
The Second China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo is scheduled to be held in Changsha, Hunan province, from September 26 to 28, 2021, with the theme of "New Start, New Opportunities, New Accomplishments". Six African countries - Algeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, and Senegal - will be invited as guests of honor, with Zhejiang and Jiangxi serving as theme provinces.
The Expo is designed to be held in the form of meetings, exhibitions, and consultations. It will meticulously organize various activities and exhibitions to promote project cooperation and trade transactions, thus providing greater momentum to push China-Africa practical economic and trade cooperation to new highs.
