A digital industrial subsection within the Intelligent Industry & Information Technology exhibition area of the fourth China International Import Expo later this year has recently been launched to help accelerate the transformation of the traditional economy.
Over 20 enterprises, including US-based engineering services provider Emerson and Johnson Controls and Ireland-based manufacturer of fire and security equipment for buildings have confirmed their participation in the subsection which would occupy 12,000 square meters.
An official from the China International Import Expo Bureau said that economic digitization has been an engine driving global innovation and high-quality development for the domestic economy.
According to Jiang Chonglong, managing director of Accenture Greater China, the company had already showcased technologies and digital innovation practices in the fields of cloud, intelligence applications, and interactive marketing during the previous editions of the CIIE.
It has also established closer cooperation with customers, governments and stakeholders in the Chinese market, Jiang added.
The digital industrial subsection will bring together top companies and products at the forefront of the global digital industry and further facilitate insight exchange, digital transformation and upgrades in the field, an official from the bureau said.
