At least 11 provinces and cities have found COVID-19 tainted date products produced by a company in Zaozhuang, East China's Shandong province, Beijing News reported on Sunday.

A statement from the Tianjin Information Office said on Friday the virus-tainted date products were produced from whey mists imported from Ukraine. They were imported at the same time with another batch of Ukraine-sourced whey mists that tested positive for coronavirus in ice cream in Tianjin earlier.

The date snacks stuffed and covered with milk powder were produced by a company in Zaozhuang. Food production and sales have been suspened since their products tested positive for the virus on Jan 19. The company has been put under strict management.
