The executive committee of the China-South Asia (CSA) Expo and China Kunming Import and Export Fair on May 15 announced that this year’s events, including the CSA Expo, the import and export fair and a cooperation forum between China and South Asian countries will be canceled.
The arrangement for next year will depend on circumstances of the global COVID-19 pandemic, it said.
The annual expo and fair are sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Yunnan Provincial Government with the support of commercial authorities from South Asian countries. As the largest and most influential international events in Yunnan, they cover tourism, agriculture, manufacturing and more.
The first CSA Expo was held in Kunming in 2013 and the latest session was held in the city from June 12 to 17 last year.
