First train carrying migrant workers arrives in Jinan

The first special train for transporting migrant workers amid the novel coronavirus epidemic, K4016, arrived at Jinan Station on March 12.

The train travelled all the way from Chongqing and carried 476 migrant workers. It took 27 hours and passed through four stations in Dazhou, Nanyang, Shangqiu, and Xuzhou before finally arriving in Jinan.

The chartered train provided workers outside the city with a safe means of transportation back to Jinan and was meant to help local companies resume operations.
