Jinan government services go online amid epidemic

Jinan, capital of eastern Shandong province, is actively promoting online government services to help people avoid crowded areas during the ongoing novel coronavirus epidemic.

Official data show that since the epidemic began, the Jinan municipal government has handled a total of 271,610 government affairs, 253,883 of which were online, accounting for 93.47 percent.

The Jinan government is promoting online platforms to residents which can provide various services, including approvals, real estate registration and integration, and other public conveniences.

The government is improving its 12345 hotline to provide residents with consulting services and timely updates.

The Jinan municipal bureau of administration service is also cooperating with EMS to offer free delivery services for business that requires checking of original documents.

The Jinan municipal bureau of administration service has also rolled out a series of measures to help companies resume work.

Companies can apply for an extension of validity on their administrative license through online declaration and license express. On-site surveys and expert evaluations can be conducted remotely.
