Jinan Metro Line 3 to begin operation

Jinan Metro Line 3 will be put into trial operation after three months of unmaned operation, local media reported.

The metro line, mostly located in the eastern part of the city, covers a distance of 21.6 kilometers and has a total of 13 stations, stretching from Longdong to Tantou. The average distance between stations is about 1.7 kilometers.

Officials said that ticket prices will range from 2 yuan ($0.28) to 5 yuan, and the line will operate from 6:00 to 21:30. It takes approximately 33 minutes to travel the entire line.

Passengers can pay using 3D facial recognition, the metro app, or bus cards, or they can simply buy tickets at any station.
