Changchun Park was formerly known as xi'an nursery. In 1999, Changchun municipal government transformed this area and renamed it as Changchun Park, which officially opened in September 2000.
From spring to autumn, tulips, peonies, rape flowers, lilies, and wide flowers bloom successively in the park, attracting more than one million tourists.
Changchun Park shows a pack of bright spring every April, with forsythia, peach blossom, flowering plum, apricot blossom and pear blossoming in full bloom. Meanwhile, the total area of tulip planting reached more than 12,000 sq m this year, with more than 80 varieties and millions of tulips in total, including 43 new varieties. In order to extend the viewing period, the park planted tulips according to their different flowering phases.
