Qinghai Hospital of TCM

Qinghai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was established in 1958, as the first of its kind in Qinghai province. The hospital is a 3A-grade comprehensive modern TCM hospital offering services covering treatment, scientific research, training, disease prevention, healthcare and rehabilitation.

The hospital covers 30,000 square meters and a building area of 45,500 sq m. It has 606 patient beds and employs 912 staff members, 171 of whom hold senior titles.

The hospital has 25 clinical departments and 40 outpatient departments for specialized diseases, along with seven medical laboratories. The department of liver disease is listed as a national key clinical TCM specialty and eight departments are among provincial key specialties, such as gynecology, diabetes, nephrology and emergency.

After over 50 years of development, the hospital has developed over 10 kinds of dosage forms and 250 self-made products. The daily patient number of outpatient departments has reached more than 1,500 and the annual number has passed 450,000.

In addition, the hospital owns advanced medical facilities such as magnetic resonance imaging, a fully automatic biochemical analyser, a chemiluminescence apparatus, color Doppler ultrasound, a multifunction X-ray machine, laparoscope, electronic gastroscope, mammary ductoscope, automatic blood cell analyzer and ophthalmic surgery microscope.
