China Shexian County NyvWa Cultural Festival (Sept 25-Oct 10)

NyvWa is one of the first ancestors of Chinese populace in legend. The Wahuang Palace is located on the bank of Qingzhang River and on the cliff of Zhonghuang Mountain in Shexian county built in Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577) over 1450 years ago, as China’s largest and earliest ancient architectural complex that worships NyvWa. It has been recognized as a key cultural relic under the protection of the State. To promote the spirit of the goddess and the development of local economy, the local government determined to hold China Shexian County NyvWa Cultural Festival annually from September 25 to October 10.

China Yongnian Tai Chi International Sodality (October 16-19)

Tai Chi is a crystallization of the wisdom of the Chinese populace, and is a treasure of human civilization. Held annually in Handan from October 16 to 19, the China Yongnian Tai Chi International Sodality aims to promote Tai Chi culture, and to enhance the connection and communication between the Chinese and foreign Tai Chi enthusiasts. The main activities include a large-scale opening ceremony, Tai Chi group performance, Chinese and foreign Tai Chi masters contest and prize-awarding ceremony, Tai Chi masters lectures, apprentice to masters, visit of the former residences of Yang Luchan and Wu Yuxiang, the progenitors of Wu-style Tai Chi, and the worshiping of other progenitors.
