RV camping expo to start in Shanxi

The fifth Shanxi International Recreational Vehicle (RV) Camping Expo will be held at the China Taiyuan Coal Transaction Center in Taiyuan between April 12 and 14, according to a press conference held by the Taiyuan culture and tourism bureau on Tuesday.

More than 40 RV companies will display over 300 vehicles and RV fans from across China will drive their RVs to Taiyuan for camping events being staged during the expo.

The very latest achievements, technologies and products in the RV sector will be demonstrated and hands-on activities will be organized to let more visitors understand and appreciate the vehicles.

The expo will also establish exhibition areas for 11 cities in Shanxi province and 10 counties and districts in Taiyuan to display culture and tourism products and promote tourist attractions.

Shanxi is a major market for recreational vehicles in China with a wide range of large-scale RV manufacturers and refit companies having established themselves in Taiyuan, Datong and Xinzhou.

Currently, there are 30 special camp sites for RV that have been built across the province and over 150 new RV camp sites are under construction.
