Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport

Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, formerly known as Shenzhen Huangtian Airport and officially opened to the public in October 1991, is located on the east bank of the Pearl River and is 32 km northwest of the city center. It is one of the three largest airport hubs serving the Pearl River Delta region, alongside Hong Kong International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

By the end of August 2018, the airport had launched 188 domestic and international routes, including four direct ferry trips to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as 30 international ones.

In 2017, the airport had an annual passenger throughput of more than 45.6 million, making it the fifth-busiest airport in China, while its cargo throughput totaled 1.16 million tons, ranking in the top four in the country.
