Guangzhou-Shanwei High-speed Railway
The Guangzhou-Shanwei High-speed Railway is a rail line that will run through three cities in Guangdong province, namely Guangzhou, Huizhou and Shanwei, stretching 230.3 km. It is a branch line of the Xiamen-Shenzhen and Beijing-Guangzhou railways.
Construction of the railway started in July 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2021. After its completion, the travel time between Guangzhou and Huizhou, and Guangzhou and Shanwei will be shortened to about 30 minutes and 60 minutes respectively.
