7 Rudong team honored for good conduct

“Loving moms”, a team made up of 56 female cadres from the taxation department in Rudong county, Nantong was honored by Jiangsu province on Aug 14, 2018.

The team, established in 1994 has donated over 6.2 million yuan to more than 1,200 poverty-stricken, left-behind children and others in need for 24 consecutive years.

It has helped 206 children go back to school, and supported 132 children pursuing studies in universities.

8 Experience with economic transformation wins national attention

Stories on Rudong county's experience of promoting economic transformation and green growth was broadcast on CCTV-2 on Sept 3, 2018.

For this special program, the production team went to companies like Zhongtian and thoroughly researched Rudong's efforts in accelerating industrial transformation.

The county, which once took the traditional textile industry as its economic pillar industry, has been upgrading the manufacturing industry since 2011, and had doubled its GDP by the end of 2018.
