13,000 pass through Yantai station on 1st day of travel rush

Yantai railway station carried a total of 13,000 passengers on Jan 21, the first day of the Spring Festival travel rush.
During the rush, Yantai station is expected to carry an unprecedented amount of passengers, with a 20 percent year-on-year growth, with these passengers mainly being migrant workers and those travelling for family reunions.
The 2019 Spring Festival travel rush, known as Chinese "Chunyun", started on Jan 21. The Spring Festival, or Chinese Lunar New Year, falls on Feb 5 this year.
