The first winter culture festival commenced at the Modern Agriculture Park in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Feb 23.

Artists from Saihan district will stage traditional folk performances like yangko dance, dragon dance, and naoge, a Mongolian folk art.

During the festival, visitors can enjoy different winter sports, and other activities including lantern riddles guessing and strawberry-picking.

The festival will be closed on the Lantern Festival, the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, which falls on Mar 2 this year.

The Modern Agriculture Park at Saihan district covers an area of 195 mus (13 hectares). It is an agricultural demonstration base integrating the visiting, catering and accommodation of rural tourism. Its exhibition halls offer opportunities for visitors to learn agricultural technologies.
