Shanghai Petrochemical and Fine Chemical Base

Located in the south part of Shanghai, the Shanghai Petrochemical and Fine Chemical Base consists of the Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park, Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company, Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Company and Shanghai Wujing Chemical.  

The base, with the mission of "do what is appropriate and discard what is inappropriate", optimizes resource allocation, adjusts layout structure and prioritizes the environment.

The base aims to become an Asian or even global leader of petrochemical industry bases. By 2020, its goal is to be a green petrochemical industrial base with an annual output of 40 million tons of refined oil and four million tons of ethylene. Its technology is close to the international advanced level, its economic scale is the largest in Asia, it has a world-class management mode and it demands development balanced between production and ecology.
