New leaders elected at Hohhot congress

Feng Yuzhen was elected mayor of Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region by the municipal legislature on Jan 10. 

The decision was endorsed at the fourth plenary meeting of the first session of the 15th Hohhot Municipal People's Congress.

Executive Chairman Yun Guangzhong of the presidium of the on-going session presided over the meeting.

The plenary meeting also elected Yun Jiandong as the director of the Standing Committee of the 15th Hohhot Municipal People's Congress.

Elected to the posts of vice-mayor of the NPC Standing Committee were Liu Wenyu, Xu Ruixia, Bi Guochen, Li Zhibin, Zhou Qiang, Wang Jiping and Yun Xinmin. The post of secretary-general of the Standing Committee of the 15th Hohhot Municipal People's Congress went to Zhang Xiaofan.

A total of 341 deputies attended the meeting.
