Streamlined production steps rewarded in Doumen

Up to 1 million yuan ($151,000) will be granted to each of 24 enterprises by Doumen District government in support of technical transformation, according to a public notice released on Nov 27.

Of them, Multek Electronics Ltd will be funded with 1 million yuan for investing 104.59 million yuan ($15.8 million) in production equipment to improve circuit board manufacturing techniques. Multek China Ltd, which spent 56.3 million yuan ($8.5 million) on intellectualized transformation, will receive 598,000 yuan ($90,500). And 430,000 yuan ($65,100) will be offered to Flextronics Manufacturing (Zhuhai) Co Ltd, which had spent 40.4 million yuan ($6.1 million) renovating production line automation.

In August 2016, the Doumen government initiated a policy to allocate 15 million yuan ($2.3 million) annually to help local enterprises carry out technical transformation. The scope includes elimination of obsolete equipment, intellectualized transformation of production lines, and increase of productivity.  

Flextronics will receive a subsidy of 430,000 yuan ($65,100) toward production line automation

Doumen has encouraged local enterprises in the intellectualization of production equipment and procedures this year by expediting key technical transformation projects in intelligent manufacturing. With an investment of 2.2 billion yuan ($333.2 million), the annual goal is to encourage more than 54 industrial enterprises above designated size to complete technical innovations.

Currently, industrial transformation and upgrades centered on enterprises are becoming a strong driving force for the establishment of a modern industrial system in Doumen, asserted a local official.
