Virtual reality and museums are a perfect pair. A museum at Saihan district in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region recently dabbled in VR to promote safety education.

The museum, built by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co Ltd with an investment of 300, 000 yuan ($45,218), is the first of its kind in the city.

It takes advantage of VR's room-scale immersiveness to help people become more engaged with safety education.

The museum created the virtual environment to offer a 3D visual and physical experience of fire emergencies, mechanical injuries and other safety accidents.

The new strategy significantly improves the efficiency and effect of fire safety education.
