Hohhot sees more opening-up

Guided by the Silk Road spirit, Hohhot in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has actively promoted the Belt and Road Initiative and expanded opening up to the world in recent years.

Over the past years, Hohhot has sped up efforts to promote trade, e-commerce, infrastructure inter-connectivity and people-to-people exchanges between Mongolia, Russia and other countries along the Belt and Road routes. 

The China-Mongolia Expo it held helped promote China-Mongolia ties to a high level. The railway line for container trains from Shaliang railway station to Europe promoted economic and trade exchanges and cooperation among countries along that line.

Meanwhile, Hohhot has continued to pursue more channels and platforms, and to establish more mechanisms to expand exchanges and cooperation with Russia, Mongolia and other countries.
